At our store, ‘Mahaki’ represents everything ‘modest’ for females, while ‘Mahalo’ embodies everything ‘respected’ for males.

Who am I and why am I doing this?

I’ve ventured into several small businesses, some successful, while others remained ideas in my notebook. One trend I’ve noticed is rampant price gouging on many online platforms.

As an avid shopper myself, I understand the value of convenience. That’s why I’m launching this platform, albeit at a small cost, to benefit both providers and shoppers alike.

I lost many orders.

Shopping through direct messages can be exhausting! Dealing with uncooperative shop owners and impolite customers, the endless back-and-forth, and the hassle of sharing costs—it’s all too much.

Keeping track of responses from a long list of queries can be confusing too. And don’t even get me started on the manual administration work after receiving an order! Sending out invoices and receipts was crucial, but it added another layer of stress to the process.

My first website.

Designing my first website in April 2020 was a game-changer! Orders started pouring in, and while I continued marketing efforts, I no longer had to juggle order requests in direct messages or confirm color and measurements manually—my website handled it all seamlessly.

Plus, I could effortlessly share product images from my website to social media platforms, saving me a ton of time!

The dream of you.

We need a centralized hub where anyone seeking modest clothing or asking for recommendations can find immediate access to stores, day or night. One platform tailored specifically for the modesty-minded community.

While currently focused on clothing, the ultimate aim is to expand to include household items as well. This fills a significant gap in Trinidad and Tobago, where the demand for modest clothing is substantial, particularly in Tobago.

Let’s talk what you need to have…

You’ll want to have access to a laptop or desktop. If you don’t have one, be sure to give yourself extra grace and patience.

Ensure you have an accessible email address that you check frequently. New order notifications will be sent via email, so it’s important to stay on top of them.

Be prepared to invest time in learning. If you’re not open to mastering something new, you may find this challenging. Take the time to thoroughly read the provided information. If you’ve reached this point but skipped over some details, consider reviewing them again.

Take advantage of the available tutorials. If they’re unclear or you need assistance, follow the guides to request support, either through the Facebook Group or in our free group sessions if multiple people require help. Individual support sessions can be purchased after the trial period.

Ensure your product images, names, and descriptions are of high quality. Images should clearly showcase your products, names should accurately reflect what you’re selling, and descriptions must be provided for all items.

For guidance on product imagery, naming, and descriptions, refer to the tutorials available in your Vendor Dashboard.
